Why Piedmont
Piedmont is an old mill town on the Saluda River where Greenville and Anderson counties meet, 12 miles south of downtown Greenville on US-25 and SC-20. The mill is gone but the river, the bridge and the hills are still there, and the town has stayed quiet while everything around it grew. Piedmont has two school systems depending on the side of the river: the Greenville County side is Greenville County Schools with Woodmont High, and the Anderson County side is Anderson District 1 with Wren High. I-85 exit 40 is 10 minutes away for Michelin, Bosch and the Greenville commute; downtown Greenville is 20 minutes on US-25. Lots here are some of the best value within 15 miles of Greenville, which is why Piedmont is one of our busiest areas.
