Belton is a town in southern Anderson County where SC-20, US-76 and SC-247 meet, 10 miles east of Anderson. The Belton Standpipe, a 155-foot water tower on the square, is on the National Register, and the downtown around it has an arts center, a tennis museum and the depot. Belton is in Anderson School District 2, which also covers Honea Path, with Belton-Honea Path High School and Belton Middle and Elementary. Anderson and AnMed Health are 15 minutes west on US-76; downtown Greenville is about 40 minutes north on SC-20 or US-25; Williamston and I-85 are 15 minutes. The Anderson Jockey Lot is on the Belton Highway. Land around Belton and Honea Path is open farm country with lots priced well below the Greenville suburbs, which lets us sell some of our lowest-priced homes here. We build on half-acre to two-acre lots along SC-20, SC-247, Brown Road and the roads toward Honea Path and Anderson.
